Kanat Gürel completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) in 1997. Recognizing the importance of further education, he pursued an MBA degree at Koç University, graduating in 1999. Gürel embarked on his professional journey at Arthur Andersen Management Consulting, where he honed his skills in the corporate world. Subsequently, he spent five years at İş Yatırım Corporate Finance, providing valuable consultancy services.

In 2005, Gürel joined PepsiCo-Frito Lay, where he served in various finance roles, including a year in Serbia. Over a span of seven years, he made significant contributions to the company's finance department. Following his tenure at PepsiCo-Frito Lay, Gürel assumed the role of Director of Finance and Corporate Relations at Red Bull Turkey from 2012 to 2019. During this period, he played a pivotal role in managing financial operations and fostering strong corporate relationships. From 2019 to 2021, Gürel served as the Finance Director of Doluca Şarapçılık, further expanding his expertise in the finance sector.

In 2017, Kanat Gürel discovered his passion for coaching and underwent the accredited Coaches Training Institute (CTI) coaching program, approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF). He completed the training and obtained the titles of CPCC (Certified Co-Active Coach) in 2019, ACC (Associate Certified Coach) in 2020, and PCC (Professional Certified Coach) in 2021. Building on his experiences and insights gained throughout his corporate career, Gürel embraced coaching and mentoring as a means to support and guide executives and managers in both North America and Turkey.

In January 2022, leveraging his vast corporate knowledge and coaching expertise, Kanat Gürel joined Qmark Consulting as a consultant and coach. Qmark Consulting provides consulting and coaching services to a wide range of individuals and organizations, enabling them to overcome challenges, improve leadership skills, and achieve sustainable growth.
